a-england She Walks in Beauty

She Walks in Beauty is a gorgeous gold shimmer with two different sizes of rose hex glitter.  It can be worn alone or layered.  I'm a little new to this brand, but I really like the thought put into the themes and back story of each collection.  I also really really love Tristam, the a-england mascot.  This polish is part of the Heavenly Quotes collection.  This particular polish was inspired by a poem by Lord Byron of the same name.  I'm no poetry buff, but I think that is pretty cool.

Here are three coats of She Walks in Beauty with two coats of top coat.

Even though there's some VNL in the photos, to the eyes it is opaque in three coats.  The glitter was super easy to apply.  I had no problems getting glitter on the brush or placing it on the nail.  In fact, I just applied this like any other regular polish and it worked like a dream.  It was just slightly still bumpy after one coat of INM's Out The Door, so I used a second coat.

Here is one coat of She Walks In Beauty over three coats of Deborah Lippmann's Modern Love.

...and here are some lovely bottle and brush shots.  The brush is slightly flat and was very easy to use.

Lord Byron - written in 1814

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!
